LOCAL 1321 ELECTION RESULTS - 2022

A special message for our supporters

We would like to thank all of you who supported and voted for our candidates! We knew at the start that unseating Union incumbents is always difficult, but we are incredibly pleased that so many of you voted. Over 50% of our members voted (810 ballots mailed, 415 ballots counted).

Our members spoke as reflected in 1 candidate winning, a tie, and a close result.

Congratulations to Lisa Soler, the new VP for Non-Librarian Professionals! We are so happy that our Specialists will now have full representation in Local 1321! We will also have a run-off for Executive VP - watch for your ballots in the mail!

Please know that your voices have been heard and your vote was not in vain. We will continue to fight for members. We've decided to keep this site open after the run-off for future candidates who wish to run in 2025!

We'll continue posting on our social media sites during the run-off and share our campaign experiences and the issues and concerns important to members…

In June 2022, you will be voting for fellow Union members to represent you on the Local 1321’s Executive Board and all other Union positions. The members you elect will fight for and represent you and your workplace rights for the next 3 years. The Executive Board represents you in contract negotiations and grievances, handles Union finances and works with the Queens Public Library Administration, the Board of Trustees, DC37 and elected officials to manage the daily business of all Union matters.
